This policy explains what information is collected when you visit thefamilyblackoutplan.com or use the Family Blackout Plan calculator, and when you buy the product. The operator is VeloCity Ridge Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). Contact: samuel@familyblackoutplan.com.

The calculator keeps your answers on your device

What you type about your household in the calculator, the rotation tracker and The Done-For-You Plan is saved in your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to us or to any server. Clearing your browser data erases it.

When you open the calculator from the Open my plan link in your email, your browser keeps a small access cookie for up to 400 days so the calculator opens without the link next time, and that cookie holds no name, no email and none of your numbers. The Done-For-You Plan link sets a second cookie of the same kind.

When you buy

Your name, email address and order details are collected by Systeme.io, which runs our order form and sends our emails. Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email, the products bought, the amounts and the dates. We never receive your full card number.

Emails

After you buy, we send an email with your plan. If you bought the plan on its own and added the Household Pack, the pack comes in a second email; the full kit comes in one email, Household Pack included. If you add The No-Cook Meal Plan, The Grab-and-Go Plan or The Done-For-You Plan, each comes in its own email. After that, we send occasional emails with preparedness tips and products we think are worth a look. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Advertising and measurement

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) on these pages to measure which ads bring visitors and buyers. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy. We use ClickMagick to measure clicks from our ads, including ads on Google and YouTube, and to tell the ad platform which of those clicks led to an order; ClickMagick processes this data under its own privacy policy. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use PostHog (analytics) to measure visits and clicks on our sales pages and at checkout, and three anonymous moments in the calculator: opening it, building a plan and printing the wall card. In The Done-For-You Plan we count two: opening it, and saving or printing its pages. On the sales pages and at checkout, PostHog can also record how a visit went (pages, scrolling, clicks) so we can find what is broken or unclear; anything typed into a form field is masked and not recorded. The numbers you type into the calculator or The Done-For-You Plan are never sent to PostHog or to us.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Under some US state privacy laws, using the Meta Pixel for advertising can count as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out by email, by blocking cookies in your browser, or through your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.

Your rights

Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at samuel@familyblackoutplan.com. We answer within 30 days. We keep order records as long as the law requires.

Children

The product is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Where data is processed

We are based in the United States. Our providers may process data in the United States and in other countries.
