Terms of Sale and Use

These terms apply to thefamilyblackoutplan.com, tool.familyblackoutplan.com and the Family Blackout Plan products, including the Household Pack, The No-Cook Meal Plan, The Grab-and-Go Plan and The Done-For-You Plan (together, the "Product"). The Product is sold and operated by VeloCity Ridge Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). Samuel Harding is the author. By buying or using the Product, you agree to these terms.

What you buy

Family Blackout Plan is a digital planning product for households: a calculator and rotation tracker that run in your browser, a written guide, printable plans and a wall card. The Household Pack adds printable pages for apartments, babies, pets, the car and each room.

You can buy it in one of two ways. The plan on its own, with the Household Pack offered as an optional add-on on the same order form. Or the full kit, which includes the plan and the Household Pack in one payment, with The No-Cook Meal Plan offered as an optional add-on on its order form.

After either order, we may offer The Grab-and-Go Plan, a separate set of printable pages for the day a household has to leave home. After the full kit, and in up to two emails the day after, we may also offer The Done-For-You Plan, a part of the calculator that turns its numbers into a shopping plan and fills in the household's pages, with The Blackout Budget guide. Both are optional. Nothing physical is shipped.

The Done-For-You Plan names kinds of stores to look in and links to plain Amazon searches. It does not buy anything, shows no prices of its own and makes no promise about what a store has in stock. We earn nothing from those links.

Price and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on the order page. Each product is a one-time payment, not a subscription. An optional add-on that you tick on the order form is charged with your order, at the price shown next to the box. If you accept The Grab-and-Go Plan or The Done-For-You Plan on a page shown after your order, each is a separate charge to the payment method you just used, and each appears on its own line on your statement. If you buy The Done-For-You Plan from one of our emails, you pay for it on its own order page. Orders and payments are processed by Systeme.io and Stripe under their own terms; we never see your full card number.

Access

After payment we email you a private link that opens the calculator, and links to the PDF files. The Household Pack (when bought as an add-on), The No-Cook Meal Plan, The Grab-and-Go Plan and The Done-For-You Plan each come in their own email. The Done-For-You Plan email holds a second private link that opens it inside the calculator. The link and the files are for you and your household. Please do not share the link or resell the materials.

Not advice, and no guarantee of outcome

The Product helps you work out quantities and write a plan. It is not medical, legal or safety advice, and it makes no promise about how any outage, storm or emergency will go for your household. Figures come from public sources cited in the Product; check them against your local guidance. During a real emergency, follow the instructions of your local authorities, your utility and your fire department, even where they differ from the Product. Ask a qualified professional about medicines, medical equipment and any health condition in your household.

Intellectual property

The text, design, calculator and printables belong to VeloCity Ridge Holdings LLC. You may print the plans for your own household.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the Product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Not affiliated

The Product is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by FEMA, Ready.gov, FoodSafety.gov, the CDC, the FDA, the USDA, the American Red Cross or any government agency. This site is not part of Facebook or Meta and is not endorsed by Meta.
